Account Executives - SF/NY

As a result of the growth of our ad network, LookSmart is hiring Account Executives in our San Francisco and New York offices. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for securing and managing an expanding client base. The ideal candidates will be directly responsible for generating new business by identifying and selling Internet advertising to potential clients. This position involves daily outbound calls to prospects and will be responsible for communicating and presenting LookSmart's offerings, closing new accounts, and working with Account Management to ensure advertisers' success.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 3-5 years' of sales/marketing/business development experience in online media/search marketing.
• B.S. or B.A. degree, preferably in Marketing or Business Administration, or equivalent.
• Strong sales skills including cold calling, prospecting, qualifying, presenting, and closing.
• Proven track record at achieving measurable goals, demonstrating focused sales efforts and understanding of effective sales process.
• Superior phone skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self motivated with a strong ability to support and motivate others.
• Ability to work well under pressure and proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Adept at managing multiple tasks simultaneously and excellent self-management skills.
• Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Internet proficiency a must.

Desired Skills:

• Search marketing and/or agency related experience.
• Previous experience using Salesforce.com is highly desirable.
• Experience in a fast-paced start-up environment is preferred.
