Senior Sales Manager, Publisher Services

LookSmart is seeking an experienced Senior Sales Manager to join our publisher services team at the San Francisco Headquarters. In this role, you will be responsible for building executive partnerships with traditional online publishers located across the United States. Your focus will consist of strategically selling LookSmart's publisher product suite. You will clearly articulate our product set and efficiently manage all stages of the deal cycle including prospecting, qualification, deal-modeling, proposals, negotiations and implementation transitions. Our ideal candidate is a top sales performer who works well with our diverse teams and has a high level of positive energy and enthusiasm for our success. This is a high-profile position within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Build partnerships with online publishers
  • Manage all stages of the deal cycle including prospecting, qualification, deal-modeling, proposals, negotiations and implementation transitions.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's required
  • 10+ years of total sales and/or business development experience in the technology industry, with 3 years' of internet advertising, ad serving or search marketing experience.
  • Proven track record of selling strategic, innovative, high-value, service-based solutions to "C" level executives.
  • "Board-level" presentation skills and presence.
  • Possess strong negotiation skills and solidly manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be able to think creatively "on your feet" and have a proven track record in aligning and driving deals to successful completion in a consultative approach.
  • Positive, team-oriented personality with the desire, ability and drive to ride a steep, continuous learning curve in the internet industry.
  • Leadership experience managing teams and selling processes that involve multiple people and roles.
  • Motivated to make significant income.
  • Experience with sales automation software (Salesforce.com).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience and/or professional training with Solution Selling methodology.
  • Business analysis capacity to recognize the metrics of a significant opportunity to the company.
  • Technical aptitude and understanding of ad serving, search engine advertising, video advertising or banner networks.
